505th Search and Rescue Traning (Phils Elite Rescue Team)

I was able to get a chance to get into the best of the best in the Search and Rescue industry in our country (Philippines) The Philippine Air Force's 505th Search and Rescue Auxillary Group. This is an 8 week rigid and strenous traning that would test your physical and mental toughness.

In this training, you will be pushed to the limit and test not only your physical strenght but your character and attitude. Along the way, I will tell you all the things that we did, From day one to the final hour of victory.

I was pursuaded by my best buddy in Fire and Rescue volunteer to join in, because I will learn to become a true blooded rescuer. His name is CJ Mariano, a volunteer turned career firefighter. This guy has alot of training and experience under his belt. Right now he is already in South Africa, Congo and serving there as a Park Ranger and Rescue. He is now reaping the rewards of his hard tranings. Going back to my story . . . I also took with me one of our member in Freedom Fire Mr. Bernardino Fernando Jr. "Phoy" or Freedom49 He is a natural swimmer so there is alot to him than me. I am just a couch potato kind a person. But in my mind I love challenges. I love saving lives since day one of being a volunteer firefighter, So I am taking my skills to the next level.

Orientation . . .

We were oriented in the HQ of the Makati Rescue, We started out around 40 participants / applicant and a mix of backgrounds from a Police Swat to a Litigation Lawyer, Me and F49's background are a Volunteer Firefighter. Some are red cross volunteers and EMTs. But all have one common goal and that is to become a Search and Rescue expert in due time.

That was me sitting in front, beside me is Ms. Bing Molina the Executive Secretary of Senador Gordon / Chairman of Phils. National Red Cross.
